Pastor Faith Oyedepo in her teaching Feb 2004 said: "Marital harmony is not a personal issue as some people thinks, it affects the body Christ as a whole. This is because the church is made up of families and the degree of harmony each family enjoys will affect the entire body of Christ. If you must enjoy marital harmony then you need a personal and a living relationship with the almighty God. The vibrancy of your relationship with your heavenly Father will affect and determine the vibrancy of your relationship in your marriage. You need a Personal encounter with God. Marital is a possibility but it does not just happen; you have a part to play. That role is summarized in Proverbs 4:7. "wisdom is the principal thing;therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" you need understanding and that is the focus of this teaching"
